Right before AMF acquired Harley-Davidson, they entered the snowmobile market under the Ski-Daddler name. Once they had HD's name, they decided to drop Ski-Daddler for the Harley name, which of course resonated much more with consumers. It didn't really matter what the name was, though - after 7 years the snowmobile was discontinued.

The RPM Harley-Davidson team from Saguenay Lac-St-Jean (i.e. a kingdom of snow) has also built its own Harley-Davidson Snow Bike. They used a 750 Street Rod, and the track system they chose is a CAMSO: the same one used by the Guardado brothers. According to Hans Leclerc of RPM Harley-Davidson, their first snow bike took about 30 hours to build.
